Dr. Thomas (Thom) Howard Rennie Currently serving as Regional Environmental Manager, Air Force Center for Environmental Excellence, Regional Environmental Office (Central), Dallas, Texas in a 21-state area working directly with state and Federal environmental regulators to resolve AF environmental issues. He is widely recognized as an environmental compliance, air quality, and pollution prevention expert. He has formed and leads AF/DoD environmental partnerships with many states, including the nationally recognized Texas Environmental Partnership. Began civil service career as a biologist with Army Corps of Engineers working at Savannah District, was Validation Study Manager at Galveston District for the deepening and widening of the Houston Ship Channel, and served as Chief, Environmental Resources and Social Analysis Branch at Chicago District. Bachelor of Science, University of Miami, Florida. Master of Science, Texas A&M University. Doctor of Philosophy, Texas A&M University. Completed Air War College by Seminar in 1995 and attended Army Management Staff College in residence in 1991. Selected to attend DoD Executive Leadership Development Program Class of 2005 (Sep 04 June 05). Awarded Vice-President Gore Hammer Award in 1999 and White House Closing the Circle Award in 1998. Wife, Sandra (Masters degree, University of Colorado), is Air Quality Planning expert with US Environmental Protection Agency, Region 6. She recently received national silver medal from EPA Administrator. 3 daughters (Marcail, Elsa, Allison), 1 son (Tristan), 1 granddaughter (Brooklynn). |
